While some people keep centipedes as pets, others enjoy them as part of a meal! Some cultures, such as the Aboriginal people and some in South Africa, prefer to eat centipedes as part of their diet. During one episode of the show My Crazy Obsession, the host was served a Vietnamese Centipede. The chef froze the centipedes, then sauteed them with mushrooms, lemon juice, wine, and some herbs. Upon serving them, the host cracked open the shell and took his first bite. Other guests at the restaurant took notice and one couple were even brave enough to try the centipede themselves, the man claiming that it tasted like bad clams.
